Coast Guard PT test standards for 2026

COMDTINST 6100.1 provides age- and sex-specific tables for one-minute push-ups, forearm plank, and an authorized run/walk, row, or swim option. Each event must reach its published minimum. This tool shows an arithmetic event-point average for planning and a separate event-minimum pass check; it does not assign an official evaluation mark.

Review the official Coast Guard tables, compare the similar events in the Navy PRT calculator, check measurements in the waist-to-height ratio calculator, or see the source register. Operational community assessments may add requirements.

Questions about this tool

Which Coast Guard program supplies these event tables?

The source is COMDTINST 6100.1, effective July 1, 2026, with age- and sex-specific event tables in its appendices. The source register records the original file and hash. Specialized operational communities can have additional requirements, so the general published table does not replace every unit’s applicable physical-readiness assessment instructions.

Is the displayed Coast Guard average an evaluation mark?

No. The arithmetic average is shown for training comparison, while the pass check separately requires each event’s published minimum. The tool does not infer an official evaluation-report mark or combine unrelated administrative rules. Use the authorized program instructions and personnel process for an evaluation or official readiness determination.

How long is the Coast Guard push-up event?

The implemented program uses the published one-minute push-up event, together with forearm plank and an authorized aerobic option. That duration differs from the Navy push-up event even when the exercise name looks similar. Enter the performance completed under the Coast Guard protocol and use its own source table.

Can I select a swim or row instead of the Coast Guard run?

The public tables include authorized aerobic alternatives, and this tool can score their published performance columns. Selecting an option here does not establish permission or equipment suitability for your assessment. Confirm the alternative with the assessment team, then enter the correct recorded distance and time for the event actually administered.
